IML KIT 50T
SKU: TECIML50EA
Infectious Mononucleosis Latex Test (IML) is used for the qualitative and semi‐ quantitative determination of human heterophile antibodies associated with Infectious Mononucleosis (IM).
SPECIFICATION
- Brand: Teco Diagnostics
- Cat.No.: IML-50
- Applications: for mononucleosis
- Application field: for serology
- Tested parameter: for antibodies
- Sample type: serum, clinical
- Analysis mode: for latex agglutination
- Number of Tests: 50 tests
- Testing Procedure: Manual
- Storage Temperature: 2‐8°C
- Qualitative Test:
- Positive: Agglutination indicates the presence of the heterophile antibody associated with IM.
- Negative: Lack of agglutination indicates the absence of the heterophile antibody associated with IM.
- Semi‐quantitative test: The titer of IM heterophile antibody is the reciprocal of the highest dilution that exhibits a positive reaction. An increase in IM heterophile agglutination titer may be clinically significant in early stages of the disease and may assist in the diagnosis of IM.
- Limitations of Procedure: A diagnosis of IM should not be made on the basis of a positive test result without support of patient history and hematological or other clinical evidence. Similarly, a negative test result cannot completely rule out IM.
Incubation of the test longer than the recommended time or microbial contamination may cause false positive results.
